The developer on the run after fizzled arrest |
Hi there,
It took me three years to develop this game, so that it is as funny, exciting and tricky as possible.
Many mugs of beer and cider had to die for it. And despite this long period of development,
I still love the game and enjoy "testing" its levels. By the way, I promise you, not to enter the highscore lists (demonic grin).
If you don't like the framerate, remember the game was developed using exclusively win98 and a TNT1.
You can't create such a game on your own, but I was lucky, to always meet the right people at the right time:
Klaus Zerbe wrote a good article about the open source 3D-engine genesis3D in c't and gave the starting shot.
He additionally wrote some converting tools and the engine wrapper I used as a foundation. http://klaus.zerbe.com
David Stafford, the maker of genesis3D, published the game engine as open source, and its license is just right for independent game developers. Part of the engine are monsters and textures, some of them can be seen in the game.

Ingo Schweizer made some very useful tutorials, they gave me a perfect start in level design.

The genesis forum was always a great help. I never saw a forum with so many helpful people, not only for technical help, but also encouragement to continue working.

A very special thank you for Jerry from alien-logic for the SpinOff intro including music.

Stefan Richter did most of the menu. He found many bugs and gave a number of hints making the levels just perfect.

Last but not least there is Juergen Nuetzel. His vision of payment per feature (level) is the best guarantor for good levels. Or would you buy the next level, if you don't like the previous one? He did, what I can't: Marketing. And he did a good job.

I still don't have a presentable homepage, but believe me, there is live beside the Internet.
